Staff Geologist, Environmental Consulting 

Our corporate office in Gold River, CA is seeking a Staff Geologist to join our consulting firm in the Sacramento area. In this role, you will work closely with project managers on a variety of environmental projects. We are seeking a full-time hire who is detail-oriented and self-motivated. Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks and project assignments associated with environmental assessments, hydrogeological studies, subsurface investigations and remedial designs, and monitoring projects; 
• All manner of field work, including soil and groundwater sample collection and sample preparation for laboratory analysis;
• Project deliverables including the preparation of soil boring logs, well construction diagrams, potentiometric surface maps, geologic cross sections, site sample and plume maps, work plans and reports;
• Working collaboratively with project management and field staff;
• Laboratory and hydrogeologic data management;
• Permit management. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, engineering or science-related field.
• 0-3 years of environmental geology experience
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and troubleshooting/problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties. 
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
