Job Title: Plant Modelling Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan (Onsite / Hybrid)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Plant Modelling Engineer with experience in plant modelling and powertrain systems to support simulation, development, and validation of automotive systems. The role involves building and validating plant models to support control development and system-level analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain plant models for powertrain and vehicle systems
- Support model-based development and simulation activities
- Collaborate with controls, calibration, and systems engineering teams
- Validate models using test and vehicle data
- Document model assumptions, limitations, and results
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience in plant modelling for automotive applications
- Strong knowledge of powertrain systems (ICE / Hybrid / EV preferred)
- Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink or similar tools
- Understanding of system dynamics and control concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related engineering
- Experience in OEM or Tier-1 automotive environments
