Total Property Management is looking for part time janitors to join our team at our facilities near Bloomington and Galesburg IL. Coverage is needed 7 days a week between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive janitor to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure a pristine environment through regular cleaning and upkeep tasks as outlined below:

• Perform wet mopping and dry lobby cleaning four times daily, including air intake grills, vent covers, and chrome hardware.
• Clean glass windows inside and outside four times daily (weather permitting); clean glass doors, door frames, and door pulls eight times daily.
• Sweep or dry mop floors before wet mopping during winter months when deicing products are used.
• Mechanically buff and scrub lobby and restroom floors twice weekly; strip and wax floors four times yearly.
• Maintain absorbent floor mats by entry doorways, cleaning them twice daily or as directed.
• Spray for flies and other insects daily as needed.
• Thoroughly clean exposed heating/air conditioning ductwork and air diffusers every two months.
• Clean kiosk video display boards with approved cleaners for LED touch screens.
• Replace HVAC filters as per department requirements.
• Maintain storage and utility/mechanical areas in a neat and orderly fashion, sweeping weekly.
• Sweep outside of the building as needed, ensuring cleanliness around eaves.

Grounds Maintenance:

• Empty litter receptacles four times daily during specified time periods, ensuring cleanliness and proper disposal of trash.
• Wash each trash receptacle (inside and outside) twice yearly, notifying the department upon completion.
• Remove litter, cigarette butts, and pet droppings from grounds twice daily.
• Sweep sidewalks, curbs, and parking areas twice daily, washing as necessary to maintain cleanliness.
• Remove chewing gum and stains from sidewalks monthly or as directed, utilizing power washing if needed.
• Clean and wash picnic tables and slabs a minimum of four times daily during specified periods, with additional cleaning on high-volume travel days.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in janitorial or cleaning roles preferred.
• Ability to handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Good communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
