Job Description

Leonard Workforce Solutions is recruiting for a Mechanical Assembler for a temp-to-hire opportunity for our client in Chandler AZ.

This Mechanical Assembler will be supporting hands-on production and assembly operations in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is best suited for candidates who already have prior manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience and are looking for a long-term opportunity with growth potential. The temporary assignment is from 3-6 months, with an opportunity to be hired permanently with the organization at the end of the period.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and sub-assembly operations under direct supervision
• Handle, measure, and process inert and controlled materials while following strict safety procedures
• Set up and operate precision measuring tools, including analytical balances
• Assemble components using work instructions, drawings, and visual references
• Perform minor electrical and mechanical tasks such as cabling, tinning, potting, and component installation
• Operate pressing equipment used in material or component forming processes
• Assist with basic setup of assigned production equipment
• Perform soldering tasks as part of assembly operations
• Install and integrate subassemblies into higher-level assemblies
• Maintain high levels of manual dexterity and attention to detail in a safety-sensitive environment
• Complete required training and maintain applicable certifications as assigned
• Support production needs through additional duties as required

Experience & Skills

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or production environment
• Prior exposure to soldering or small-component assembly strongly preferred
• Experience following technical work instructions, drawings, or schematics
• Familiarity with precision tools, measuring equipment, or production machinery
• Ability to work effectively in a structured, process-driven environment

Education

• No formal education required for this role
• Advancement opportunities may require additional education or certifications

Working Conditions

• Temp-to-hire opportunity based on performance and business needs
• Overtime may be available, including Fridays or Saturdays as required
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Candidates will be required to perform a dexterity test during the interview process.
