Job Title: Test Engineer

Location: Raymond, OH

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer with strong experience in component- and system-level testing, data analysis, and engineering validation. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in mechanical or electrical engineering and hands-on expertise with automotive/embedded testing tools, programming languages, and microcontroller-based systems.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Development

• Apply engineering principles to develop detailed test plans, procedures, and specifications for components and systems within the assigned specialty area.
• Create data settings, test standards, and test schedules to support validation activities.
• Assess design feasibility and ensure components meet acceptance criteria, performance targets, and all applicable regulatory or internal standards.

Test Execution

• Prepare and set up test equipment, instrumentation, and environments.
• Conduct moderately complex tests, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and completeness of results.
• Troubleshoot test setups and determine if additional testing is required to meet validation goals.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze and interpret test results to identify performance trends, failures, and root causes.
• Predict component or system performance based on test data and modeling.
• Identify issues, develop countermeasures, and propose design improvements.
• Prepare clear and detailed test reports, presentations, and documentation for internal stakeholders and design teams.

Software & Calibration Support

• Support software testing, calibration activities, and validation of embedded control features.
• Program and troubleshoot microcontroller I/O, control logic, and test automation scripts when required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Six years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of test engineering experience in the relevant domain.
• Hands-on experience with automotive/embedded test tools:
• INCA, CANalyzer, CANoe
• Proficiency in programming languages:
• C, C#, C++, Python
• Experience with:
• Microcontroller I/O programming and control logic
• Software testing and calibration
• Data acquisition tools and analysis methodologies
