Dispatcher (2nd Shift)
Lakeland, FL – Full Time – Temp to Hire
Pay Range: 50,000 to 60,000 per year
We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher for a full time, second shift role. This position is responsible for coordinating drivers, routing loads efficiently, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely customer service follow-through. This is Monday through Friday, 11am to 7pm.
Responsibilities
• Schedule and dispatch drivers for daily routes
• Map and plan routes in a cost-efficient manner
• Process orders and coordinate pick-ups and deliveries
• Track missed deliveries and document reasons
• Manage exceptions, create logs, and generate reports
• Communicate with internal teams regarding equipment availability and service needs
• Provide strong customer service communication throughout the day
• Follow all company policies and procedures
Qualifications
• At least 1 year dispatching experience (transportation / trucking preferred)
• Strong customer service skills
• Microsoft Excel experience
• Detail oriented, proactive, able to handle a busy workflow
