Work Model: Hybrid (flexible schedule; increased remote options for senior attorneys)

Billables: 1,500–1,600 hours/year

About the Opportunity

A well-respected boutique law firm in San Diego is seeking an experienced Transactional Real Estate Attorney (or a Business/Corporate/Commercial Attorney with strong deal experience). This role offers the opportunity to work independently on complex deals from start to finish, collaborate closely with partners, and join a firm known for its mentorship, autonomy, and high-quality transactional practice.

Candidates coming from strong boutique or mid-sized firms (20–50 attorneys) are highly encouraged to apply.

Role Overview

The attorney will handle a full range of real estate and corporate transactional matters, including deal structuring, negotiation, drafting, and closings. This is an opportunity for an attorney who enjoys leading deals and interacting directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage real estate and corporate transactions from inception to closing
  • Draft and negotiate letters of intent and deal documents
  • Prepare and review agreements, disclosures, consents, closing documents, and contracts
  • Coordinate escrow accounts, monitor deal timelines, and track deliverables
  • Review titles, perform due diligence, and analyze related documentation
  • Coordinate with clients, lenders, brokers, escrow officers, and third-party professionals
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in the closing of real estate and corporate transactions

Qualifications

  • 3–15 years of transactional real estate and/or corporate/business law experience
  • Demonstrated ability to run deals start to finish
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
  • Experience with commercial and real estate transactions involving LLCs and corporations
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Candidates from 20–50 attorney firms or highly specialized boutiques strongly preferred
  • Must be licensed in California (or eligible to waive in)

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between [$150,000 – $220,000 annually]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
